Users must identify a Supervisor before requesting leave.
Users must belong to a Unit in order to request leave.
All leave types can be requested in advance at any time. There is no submittal time restirction on any leave types.
Terminal leave, Permissive Rule 2 in conjunction with Terminal, Permissive Rule 3 and Permissive Rule 23 for SkillBridge will send an SB01 to DJMS 30 days from leave start. All other leave types will only send the SB03 after the leave has occurred and to hit the pay record 3 days after leave end date or upon return approval, whichever comes first.
Users at Bases marked as "Overseas" including Alaska and Hawaii cannot choose CONUS as a leave area. (CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES (CONUS) is the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. Alaska and Hawaii are not part of the contiguous states and are included in the definition of non-foreign OCONUS. NON-FOREIGN OCONUS AREA, the states of AK and HI, the Commonwealths of Puerto Rico and the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and U.S. territories and possessions.) These locations are listed in the Country dropdown to support the different benefits and entitlements provided for these locations. Leaves traveling to one of these locations will not require commander approval for Ordinary and Reenlistment leave types and all leave types will follow the CONUS leave flow.
Overlapping leaves are not allowed. LeaveWeb will not submit new leave requests for overlapping leaves.
Users cannot modify a leave request once it has been submitted for approval. If a user wants to modify the leave, the user must cancel the original leave request and create and submit a new request.
Cancelled leave requests cannot be reopened or resubmitted, users must create a new leave request.
The dates entered in the Last Day field and the Return Date field should be different. The Last Day field refers to the last day of chargeable leave and the Return Date field refers to the day the member will return to the local area (where the member lives and commutes to the PDS) and be available for duty.
